Program Radio - Read

Read

    Allows the user to read the data stored in a radio.

    If the radio is successfully read, all the fields read from the radio are loaded into the CPS screen.

    To read from a radio:

  1. Make sure that the target radio is powered off before attaching a programming cable.
  2. Connect the target radio to the USB port of the PC using a programming cable.
  3. Power up the target radio using Power On/Off knob.
  4. Wait a few seconds after connecting the radio to allow time for the PC to detect the radio.
  5. Select Program>Read on the menu bar or click ??: C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\help doc-Eng\HTML\read_11.png  on the tool bar. If the reading fails during the first try, please repeat this step as the radio may not have been detected yet.
  6. A progress bar appears as the radio is read. Upon a successful read, the progress bar disappears and a window appears to indicate that the read is successful. When the radio's CPS profile appears on the CPS screen, click (+) next to the root folder in the Tree view to expand the view.
